Italian Chocolate Cantucci Biscuits 250g

COMING SOON
$12.00

A delicious variant on the very popular Cantucci, these Antonio Mattei biscuits offer the crunchiness of the traditional recipe created by Antonio Mattei in Prato in 1858, with the twist of some delicious dark chocolate chips.

Experience at the end of a meal, with a small glass of sweet wine, whisky or coffee. We recommend Vinsanto del Chianti Classico DOC by Antinori.

Great to make the base of a delicious cheesecake.

In the centre of Prato, Tuscany, you can find a little shop that has been opened since 1858. Every morning before 10am, using the original recipe Antonio Mattei personally created, cantucci come out of the oven and the entire via Ricasoli smells like biscuits.

They first appeared on the International scene at the 1867 Universal Exposition (World Expo) in Paris, becoming popular all over Europe. Today, the Pandolfini family looks after the brand with the same care and love its original creator intended, allowing us to bring the original cantuccini di Prato to your tables.

Chocolate cantucci

The chocolate cantucci are excellent biscuits, but I think the pistachio and almonds variety are the best kind. Some people would say these biscuits are expensive, but they are a luxury good and excellent value, especially as imported goods. Evviva Prato!
