A delicious variant on the very popular Cantucci, these Antonio Mattei biscuits offer the crunchiness of the traditional recipe created by Antonio Mattei himself in 1858, with the twist of some delicious pistachios and almonds.

The best way to experience these Antonio Mattei cantuccini is at the end of a meal, with a small glass of sweet wine, like Passito or Vin Santo, tea or coffee. Summer or Winter, morning or evening, with a hot or cold beverage, they are always a great way to pause, and indulge on the moment.

In the centre of Prato, Tuscany, you can find a little shop that has been opened since 1858. Every morning before 10am, using the original recipe Antonio Mattei personally created, cantucci come out of the oven and the entire via Ricasoli smells like biscuits.

They first appeared on the International scene at the 1867 Universal Exposition (World Expo) in Paris, becoming popular all over Europe. Today, the Pandolfini family looks after the brand with the same care and love its original creator intended, allowing us to bring the original cantuccini di Prato to your tables.

Good to Find Feast Italy, was locally having trouble finding. So I was delighted & these have the added bonus of having Pistachios, not just Almonds!

Efficient service all round ( plus added surprise gift on this occasion).

I look forward to ordering from you again.
