A quick guide to elevate your recipes with truffles
When it comes to culinary indulgence, few ingredients rival the earthy, aromatic allure of truffles. Renowned for their distinct flavour and luxurious essence, truffles have long adorned gourmet dishes, often taking center stage. Yet, their potential to elevate humble side dishes should not be overlooked.
Products to consider:
1. Sea Salt with Black Truffles: potatoes and truffles are a match made in heaven, sprinkle on chunky wedges and French fries. Add on frittata, roasted meat and grilled fish.
2. Butter with White Truffles: add on roasted vegetables, in particular carrots and beets. Great on bruschetta, with smoked or fresh salmon or to season mashed potatoes.
3. Extra virgin olive oil with White Truffles: half a teaspoon on fresh goat cheese, carpaccio and fish tartare, croutons and canapés.
Also remember: with truffles, a little goes a long way and they give their best raw. Always add as a final touch.
