Il Tinello Saba Grapes Cooked Must Condiment 250ml

£11.00

Best before date: 31/12/2033

Introducing il Tinello La Saba, a remarkable condiment derived from the slow cooking of fresh Trebbiano grape must over a gentle open flame. This traditional process takes place at approximately 600°C for several hours until the liquid transforms into a lusciously dense, shiny amber-colored elixir. La Saba has its roots deeply embedded in the heritage of the Emilia countryside, where it has been cherished for generations.

In the past, La Saba was not only appreciated for its remarkable taste but also served practical purposes. Children would delight in using it as a flavorful syrup to drizzle over bowls of freshly fallen snow, while poor peasant families would enhance their humble polenta dishes with its richness.

Today, La Saba is a wonderful alternative to honey, it adds a touch of sweetness and depth of flavour to yoghurt and ricotta cheese. Great also with cheesecakes, panna cotta and fresh fruit salads.
