Tonnetto del Mediterraneo Little Tunny Tuna Fillets in Olive Oil 190g

£15.00

Best before date: 01/09/2027

Following the principle of sustainable fishing and a deep respect for what the sea provides, 4Rotte by Armatore explores new horizons with a broader and more diverse range of products.

The Tonnetto del Mediterraneo, or Little Tunny Tuna, is similar to the bluefin red tuna, however smaller in size. Its meat is fibrous, lean and full of flavours. Great in a variety of recipes, it gives its best with pasta, salads, on pizza where it is important to not overcook it.

A note about Armatore's fishing practices:

Committed to sustainable fishing practices, Armatore prioritises the well-being of the seas by implementing a range of measures to protect habitats, biodiversity, and the long-term vitality of targeted species.

Armatore employs selective fishing techniques and responsibly sources from non-overfished stocks, supporting fishing communities and providing environmentally conscious consumers with sustainable products. Additionally, the company utilises sustainable processing tools and eco-friendly, recyclable packaging, further contributing to the preservation of the environment.

Armatore is exploring new routes: 4Rotte is elsewhere, but always in the same sea.

Following the principle of sustainable fishing and an absolute respect for what the sea can offer, 4Rotte is exploring new horizons with a wider and diversified range, including Alalunga tuna, Alletterato tuna, Palamita tuna, and Tombarello tuna.
Choosing one of these products, while having the same quality and flavours, means making an ethical choice by supporting the cyclic nature of marine life and sustaining our valuable community of fishermen.

The scenario of the new 4Rotte project is linked to the environment and the love for our seas, maintaining non-invasive fishing methods and sourcing from non-overexploited fish stocks. Closely connected to the history of Cetara, for over four generations Armatore have been fishing and processing both anchovies and tuna with a focus on sustainability and marine conservation.
