Leftover Panettone Pudding Recipe
Got some leftover panettoni from the holiday season? Don't let them go to waste! We have a delicious recipe that will transform those leftover panettoni into a mouthwatering dessert. With just a few simple steps, you can create a delightful panettoni pudding that is sure to impress.
Ingredients
250g panettone cut in thick slices
2 eggs
225ml milk
140ml double cream
2 tbsp Honey
1 tsp vanilla extract
Butter for the baking tray
To serve: icing sugar and whipped cream
Method
Grease a baking tray with butter. Cut a 250g panettone into thick slices, leaving the crusts on, and arrange them in the baking tray.
In a bowl, whisk together 2 eggs, double cream, milk, vanilla extract, and 2 tbsp of honey until well combined. Pour the egg and cream mixture evenly over the panettone slices.
Preheat the oven to 160C and place the baking tray in a larger tin filled with a couple of centimetres of water to create a bain-marie.
Bake for approximately 35 minutes until the pudding is just set. It should have a yellow interior and a nicely browned top.
Remove from the oven and dust with icing sugar. Serve the panettone pudding with spoonfuls of whipped cream.
