Case of 6 bottles of 2019 Anthemis Etna Bianco DOC 750ml
Giulia, Enrico and Benedetto started Monteleone in July 2017, after a long search to identify two hectares of old vineyard a few steps from the Alcantara river. At the foot of Mount Etna just under five hundred meters above sea level and less than fifty steps from the ancient Cuba of Santa Domenica, a Byzantine jewel of rare beauty, they found the perfect place to make their wine.
In the following years they have dedicated themselves to expand the company with new vineyards whose fruit will become the matrix of new wines. A story in the making, where the best is yet to come.
|Pairing||Crustaceans, seafood based pasta or rice dishes, fresh cheese.|
|Taste||Dry on the palate, long finish with green apple and lime.|
|Colour||Bright straw yellow with greenish reflections.
|Fragrance||Intense on the nose with notes of apple and menthol, which are combined with a marked mineral sensation of flint.
|Vinification||The grapes are harvested early in the morning and delivered to the cellar in small 10 kg boxes. After de-stemming, the grapes are immediately softly pressed and, after 48 hours of decanting, the must ferments in steel tanks at a controlled temperature.
|Ageing||The wine refines, on the fine lees, for 12 months in 700-liter French oak tonneaux. During this time, weekly battonages are carried out. A partial malolactic fermentation takes place.|
Please note: Our wine selection is dispatched from a different warehouse than the rest of the range, and delivered by a courier on a day previously agreed upon.
